Dress Code

Students may wear the following:
Roosevelt T-Shirt, or a green shirt, khaki pants, shorts, skirts or jumpers. No jeans during the weekdays. Jeans may be worn with a school shirt or spirit shirt on Fridays and for field lessons.


Tardies & Absences

Students are considered tardy if they are not in the building at 8:00 a.m. Five tardies count as one truancy/unexcused absence. Students who are tardy must check in with the attendance office to be admitted to class.


Change of Address or Phone Number

Notify the school office so records can be updated. This can be crucial if an emergency arises.


Severe Weather

Stay tuned to television 11, 12 or 13 or radio station KILT 610AM, KKBQ 790 AM, KRBE 1070 AM, and KXYZ 1320 AM, KUHF 88.7 FM, KKBQ 92.9 FM or KMJQ 102 FM. These stations will be notified by the district if classes are canceled. In some emergency situations classes may be dismissed 10-15 minutes early without prior notice.

Students will not be released to walk or ride a bike home if lightning or threatening weather occurs. Parents and students should have a prearranged "Bad Weather Dismissal Plan" in case thunderstorms occur at dismissal time.
